A trip on the ferry from Haines to Juneau with the roller derby team from Whitehorse was an adventure of a different kind. Lots of laughter. A plane ride from Juneau to Anchorage, manage to sit by some highly dressed individual who did not have manners. He belched more times then I can count, made a mess of his meal, demanded stuff from the stewardess. Never said a word to me, which was ok by me. I was just glad the flight was a short one. I was picked up at airport by friend Connie for the hour drive back to Palmer. I said goodbye to Spring in Haines and in Juneau and said hello once again to winter in Anchorage. Oh hum.. So to brighten that thought, I’ve included an image of a wool baby blanket I made some time ago. Warp painted with ProChem Sabraset Dyes, weft was a solid color. Wove in a basic twill, to allow the colors to dance on their own.
Hi from wintery Haines. We're having a mini-blizzard, so you left too soon! We have~10″ of snow and it continues to pour down….we are cozy by the fire, me knitting, John reading/web-surfing on his IPad.

Wow! Sorry, I would have stuck if I knew winter was returning! 😉 So thanks for a taste of Spring!
